Electric victory for Wood - Tesla wins Goodwood Sprint
James Wood scored Tesla's first win in a competition run under MSA Regulations.
. Driving a factory-entered Tesla Roadster Sports, James won the Electric Class at the GRRC Sprint at Goodwood. Despite an inevitable win for Telsa (the only other car in the class being another factory entry), the cars impressed all present.
The Roadster Sports massive torque (300 ft-lb from 0rpm) and cornering stability compensated for the limited top speed of 120mph (the quickest cars reach over 140mph at Goodwood). Even self-confessed doubters of electric power were impressed.
